Why MDA

Built around operational realities, not generic service promises

MDA’s Hitachi support model has been developed through direct involvement in large mining operations in the DRC. At Frontier, MDA supports the Hitachi fleet under a maintenance service agreement with 40 on-site technicians, manages the assembly and implementation of 30 new EH4000-3 trucks, and maintains a fleet of Hitachi excavators including EX3600, EX1900-6, EX1200-7, and ZX870-5 units.

MDA also supports clients through parts sales, service agreements, planned maintenance, PCR-related work, repairs, and backlog reduction, including for Glencore KCC and other mining and infrastructure contractors.

Frontier: a flagship model of Hitachi fleet support

At Frontier mine, MDA supports one of its most significant Hitachi service operations in the DRC. This includes a maintenance service agreement for the Hitachi fleet, on-site technical manpower, spare parts warehouse management, and field support for both fleet performance and service continuity.

MDA also manages the light maintenance and repair contract, OEM consignment parts support, and warranty-related repairs, under a long-term client framework.
Frontier agreement included on-site construction of houses for Hitachi Maintenance teams, MDA financed and constructed 16 apartments with the client repaying the cost over the life of the service agreement
